Embracing the limbo between training and ISIS internship
Greetings from Victoria! After a short sleep I'll be headed with three of my fellow interns to Korea, at which point Rudelle will connect to Cambodia, Danielle to Vietnam, and Furqan and I will continue on our way to Manila, Philippines!
I'm eagerly anticipating while fondly remembering the past week, during which relationships were developed, and a great deal was learned about cultural sensitivity, communication and issues regarding gender and sustainability, both generally and respectively to our host countries.
As the journey unfolds, I look forward to sharing my experiences and endeavors with you.
Kathryn Aedy is working for five months as a Communication and Media Specialist with Isis International in Quezon City, Philippines.
