Katie Bisaro worked as the Research and Information Officer with Child Workers in Asia (CWA) in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of CAPI's 2005-06 Internship Program funded by Foreign Affairs Canada.
Katie is from Vancouver, BC and has an Honours BA in Political Science from McGill University. Following her placement at CWA in Bangkok, Katie completed an MSc in International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam and spent 4 months in Ghana carrying out field research for her thesis on child labour. Katie currently resides in London, where she has been working for the international NGO Save the Children as a Project Assistant in the Emergency Response Department (May-Nov 2008) and as a Child Protection Coordinator in the Policy Department (Nov 2008-present).
