Lu Ding teaches economics at the University of the Fraser Valley, BC. A graduate from China's Fudan University, he obtained his PhD from Northwestern University (USA, 1991). Before joining the UFV, he had been in the faculties of Sophia University, Japan (2005-08), the National University of Singapore (1992-2005) and the University of Nebraska in Omaha, USA (1991-92).
His research interests include international trade and investment, comparative economic systems, and regional economic development.
