Linley Faulkner worked as a Program Assistant with Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN)/Women and Gender Institute (WAGI), Miriam College, in Quezon City, Philippines. This internship was part of CAPI's 2009-10 Students for Development Program, funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Linley is in the process of completing her Masters degree in Public Administration at UVic. She obtained a BA in Political Science and Women's Studies from UVic, where her research focused on transnational feminism, migration, and gender and development. As a Filipino-Canadian who is critically aware of the effects of migration on families and identities, Linley is personally invested in further engaging with the non-governmental sector to create sustainable and effective change for women, particularly in the global south.
