Asian Studies on the Pacific Coast 2008 Annual Meeting

The theme for ASPAC 2008 was "Crossing Boundaries in the Asia-Pacific: Regional and Disciplinary Intersections". In the tradition of ASPAC and AAS conferences, proposals on the full range of Asian studies were included; however, we encouraged colleagues to venture outside conventions of space and methodology in their consideration of topics within their area of specialization in panels and papers proposed for the conference, considering issues comparatively as they relate to different parts of Asia and the Pacific, and juxtaposing disciplinary approaches.
