Featuring Stephen Tyler, Consultant and CAPI Associate.

Vietnam is one of the five countries in the world likely to be most affected by climate change. The country is urbanizing rapidly, and its cities lie in a narrow coastal lowland zone that is already vulnerable to flooding and tropical storms. This talk reviews the climate vulnerabilities of thee medium-sized cities in Vietnam, and describes the bases for strengthening resilience to climate change in these cities. The talk highlights climate adaptation challenges to be faced by Vietnamese cities in coming decades. Stephen Tyler is the founder of Adaptive Resource Management Ltd., an interdisciplinary consulting practice specializing in community-oriented natural resource management and adaptation studies, active in British Columbia and internationally.
