Each year CAPI organizes a variety of events for students.  From CAPI's Student Symposium to film festivals and noodle nights, we are always looking for new ways to engage students in our Centre and bring the Asia-Pacific region and CAPI's program to students on campus.

    If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the photographs UVic students bring back from their international CAPI programs speak volumes about their life-changing experiences!

    CAPI's Photo Contest is the perfect opportunity to show off their skills (or luck) with a camera and share these unforgettable memories. The photos are displayed at CAPI during IdeaFest 2012 (March 5-9). Winners receive great prizes, such as an IPod Touch.

    Pacific Peoples' Partnership (PPP) and the Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI) are hosting a "Global Engagement Showcase". Celebrating International Development Week, organizations and student groups will inspire awareness and participation in the global movement for social change.

    This event is being held as a fundraiser to support CAPI’s highly successful International Internship Program, which for the past five years has sent young Canadians to work with NGO’s in the Asia- Pacific region on issues from women’s rights to HIV/AIDS prevention.
